Out with the Old, in with the New

2020 already?! Well you know what they say, time flies when you’re killing bugs, or something like that… For many people, this is the time of year to set goals and learn form mistakes. McGee Pest Control has a lot to do in both categories. We’re here to learn form the old, incorporate the new. Here’s our perspective on a 2020 New Year’s resolution.

What's Old

Our business has quite a few of the “Old”, but this is what has kept McGee Pest Control running since 1962. Our primary value is, and always will be, customer service. What is a service company without outstanding customer service? – A bad one, and probably a dead one.

Experience doesn’t always equal knowledge, but for our company, we believe it does. Our team has a combined 132 years of experience in the pest control industry, averaging about 10 years each member! We apply this knowledge to our daily tasks, which in turn, creates quality services.

Other old news includes our 1 million dollar termite contract warranty, guaranteed pest control services, and quick response time, to name a few.

What's New

So,  with all this old business, whats new? This website is a good place to start. Currently offering our customers quick access to pest information, contact numbers, and online payments. In the future, our website will become even more closely integrated with customer interaction.

McGee Pest Control always keeps up with new chemical pesticides. Biologists, chemists, and entomologists continuously create new compounds and techniques to eliminate pests. Don’t be alarmed if we recommend a new service or technique, it will only work better than the last.

Other new or ongoing strategy techniques include reorganized pricing systems, new value adding services, and improved customer communication. We look forward to showing you what we have in 2020 and beyond.

2020 Reflections

As do many of you, McGee Pest Control has some lofty goals for 2020. Personal improvement starts with identifying and accepting what we are good at AND what we are bad at. As the decade comes to a close, it provides a fashionable opportunity to reflect on one’s position. Years come fast and years go fast, but if you never step back and reflect on the bigger picture, they may pass without purpose.

So, what topics would you reflect on if given this task? Maybe you are goal oriented and would ask yourself what did you accomplish this year? Others might reflect on travel. Who did you meet? What were the best times and saddest times? These questions are great starting points in a new year reflection. However, these questions only begin to graze the surface of personal reflection.  I believe a lifetime can best be exemplified on the effect it had on other people. Because, what would the world be without other people? For McGee Pest Control, I start by asking – How did we effect the lives of other people? From our employees to our vendors, business partners, and customers, there are a lot of moving parts. For now, lets narrow it down to one interaction, McGee Pest Control to it’s consumers.

A business is nothing without its customers, the flowing blood of its body, if you will. I would love to believe that our services provided nothing but value and happiness to every client. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We made mistakes, had lazy days, and probably dropped the ball a couple of times, but that’s part of it. A business is nothing more than a group of individuals, therefore a business is bound to make mistakes (except corporations like Google, Apple, Amazon, etc. probably don’t make mistakes, and honestly those companies kind of scare me). This year, McGee Pest Control hopes not only eliminate daily mistakes, but improve the overall value we create. We aim to be better at what we currently offer AND create new value in original products and services. We look forward to doing business with you.

Happy New Year! I hope 2020 bring you everything you ever wanted, plus some 🙂
