Cockroaches
When the world ends, there will be one survivor left in Murray, Kentucky… the Cockroach!
Overview
Cockroaches are one of the most successful family of insect in history. Older than dinosaurs, cockroaches’ biology withstands the tests of time. They are perfectly adapted to inhabiting multiple environments. They are able to process a wide variety of foods, live in extreme conditions, and reproduce rapidly. This makes cockroaches one of the most common pests in Murray, KY. Not just in Murray, but throughout the country, cockroaches remain a constant threat to inhabit our homes. They infest multiple areas of a structure, but their goal revolves around three keys attributes; food, water, and shelter. Cockroaches usually only become pests when these three attributes all meet requirements.
Naturally occurring circumstances often provide cockroaches with ideal living conditions. Areas such as overgrown brush, plies of debris, decomposing material, and any excess source of water all provide cockroaches with perfect living conditions. However, cockroaches also find ideal living conditions within man made structures, this is when cockroaches become pests in Murray, KY. Some of the most common culprits for attracting cockroaches include excess moisture around a home, overgrown landscaping, excess mulch, food sources around a structure, and cluttered crumb filled kitchens. The German Cockroach
The German Cockroach remains the number one most common cockroach pest species, and many consider it one of the most common pest insects overall! These cockroaches are not actually from Germany, nor are they from Murray. These roaches have been around much longer than these places have existed. However, they have taken up residence in human dwellings quite nicely. An infestation starts from a simple wandering cockroach from outside your home. After all, these roaches do live in other places besides our home. After one or two German Cockroaches find a suitable environment, they begin to reproduce in the same area!
If I were a German Cockroach, my ideal home would be a nice home in Murray on the edge of town. The humans of the home would drop lots of food bits under the refrigerator. Then at night when they go to bed, I sneak out with my other cockroach buddies and eat all the goodies, then hurry back to my hiding places around the stove and cabinets where the humans never see me. I would dream at night of mostly happy dreams at night, but every once in a while I dream of horrible times. One day my nightmares may become a reality when I hear a McGee Pest Control technician walking into the home to find my buddies and I hiding in your home…
